On Friday 30 August 2013, Marc Schut gave a presentation on his postdoc fieldwork conducted in Benin. During his fieldwork in Benin, Marc conducted 65 in-depth interviews and organised 3 multi-stakeholder workshops at the three study sites; Dassa-Zoumé, Kandi and Tanguiéta that were attended by 66 participants.
In his presentation, Marc elaborated on the overall objectives of the Parasite programme, the position of the postdoc research in the Parasite programme and the specific fieldwork activities in Benin. With regard to the conducted interviews and workshops, some preliminary findings were shared.
The seminar was well attended by AfricaRice staff and there were representatives from Abomey Calavi University and the national agricultural research institute INRAB. At the end of his presentation Marc thanked AfricaRice and INRAB for the constructive collaboration in the project and for facilitating fieldwork activities in Benin.
